Chance Maker’s film crew participated in the branding project of Tenri, Nara Prefecture, Japan. During the first year of the project we filmed the daily lives of the residents of Tenri in an effort to attract more people to move to the city. For the second year of the project, we collected footage of the workers of Tenri into short documentaries in order to promote migrant workers coming to the city.

IBM BlueHub is an incubation program offered by IBM and several partner companies. Chance Maker created a film capturing the program’s second session. These six short films feature startups and the people who support them in their efforts to drive innovation in farm tech, visa application, mental health, VR, and the automotive industry.
This film was produced in coordination with the release of the XSR900 motorcycle in Japan — the first step in delivering Yamaha’s vision of “NEO RETRO” style. This motorcycle represents a return to form for Yamaha, inheriting many of the traditions that made their first motorcycles so special, while also breaking new ground using cutting-edge technology.
